I LOVE this little book, and shall be tracking down the rest of the series immediately. Though aimed at a younger crowd, this is definitely fun for all ages.

Buch und Story haben mir echt gut gefallen, vorallem der Humor zauberte mir immer wieder ein Lächeln ins Gesicht. Der Schreibstil war leicht zu lesen und flüssig (typisch für ein Jugendbuch). Hatte Anfangs etwas Bedenken da die Protagonistin mit ihren 12 Jahren doch sehr jung ist, jedoch hatte ich irgendwie nie das Gefühl dass sie sich arg kindisch verhält. Sie hätte auch 16 sein können und es hätte gepasst.
Für mich ein gute Zwischenlektüre, die man ohne Probleme zwischenrein schieben kann (vorallem da dieses Buch sozusagen in sich abgeschlossen ist). Freue mich trotzdem schon auf weitere Abenteuer von Skulduggery und Valkyrie. Wann weiß ich jedoch noch nicht :)

Skulduggery, you are awesome! I wish we could meet! What a unique and magical read. Skulduggery reminded me of Doctor Who because of his quirky comments and comebacks. Here are a few more of my favourite quotes:
"Being a detective isn't all about torture, murder and monsters. Sometimes it gets truly unpleasant!"
"I'm placing you under arrest for murder, attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder and I don't know... Possibly littering!"
"For a guy with no internal organs you've got quite the ego." (said by his sidekick about him).
The banter between Skulduggery and his sidekick, 12 year old Stephanie, is hilarious! Not sure if these quotes are funny to you when you haven't read it so what are you waiting for? Don't you want to read something that's funny, magical and filled with mystery?!
