3.8 AVERAGE

I wish I could give this a 4.8/5 stars. In the beginning I wanted more than just sex stores between Tate and Miles, and more of the history between Miles and Rachel. I kept wanting to know why Miles wasn’t falling for Tate. I wanted to know all of it to start. But I’m glad I found out the horrible reason why Miles didn’t want to feel love when I did. I was sobbing after the chapter of Miles and Rachel when they lost their baby boy the way they did.
I was sobbing when after 6 years Miles went and talked to Rachel and Rachel was able to help him see that the ugliness will always be there but that you have to find the good parts in life and learn to love. Then I was sobbing when he proposed to Tate and then again when they had their little girl. This book will be one I won’t forget about for a while.

This is not my favorite Colleen Hoover book.
Miles and Tate's relationship was so toxic. Tate was an absolute doormat who had no self respect and all we knew about her was that she's studying to become a nurse and she likes orange juice!
And then we have Miles. He had a sad backstory and a lot of bad things had happened to him but he had no right to treat someone like shit.
And the plot twist? If Miles turned out to be a serial killer or something like that, believe me I would've been happier because the plot twist was something we see a lot in books and movies.it wasn't something new.
And the ending was so rushed.
Things that I like about this book:
Cap, the eighty year old man who had more common sense than every character put together.
This is an easy read( like most of CoHo books)

“I didn’t fall in love with you, Tate. I flew”

Not my favorite CoHo but still enjoyed it! I liked the perspectives. I love the character dev. However, once Miles’ past is revealed things start moving much faster than they did in the rest of the book. I wish his pet was fleshed out a little more. Enjoyed overall.

Read via audiobook

I got myself into a CoHo frenzy and couldn’t stop reading her books for about a week and I think this book has finally put an end to that. It was fine, I read it quickly, but I’m a little tired of the whole “damaged guy can’t love” and “girl fixes him.” Also why are all the protagonists in CoHo’s books getting married at 24 within 6 months of dating someone???

So I was holding off for the longest reading this book because I didn't want to cry. (Booktok warned me) Anyway I just finished and I did not cry but was rather angry the majority of the book.

While what Miles and Rachel went through was unspeakable and hard to fathom. It does not justify the way Miles treated Tate for 80% of this story. As someone who dealt with a "Miles" in their past I couldn't gather sympathy for him. He manipulated her and treated her like garbage for months.

It was a no for me and I wasn't blown away with how they got to their HEA.
