This is my first time reading Colleen Hoover.

I’ve enjoyed reading Miles’ chapters « six years ago » just because it’s written in prose, so it was easy to read. That writing style based on repetition made the romance between Rachel and Miles really unique and pure. It’s the type of daydream love story but in real life. It was one of the best love stories I’ve ever read. ❤️❤️❤️

The characters have absolutely no respect for each other neither for theirselves and that’s so bad. Besides, Miles treats Tate like a piece of trash and she’s 24h throwing herself at him. What’s the point of making out each time they see each other ? Their relationship is so toxic and unhealthy as hell. I still can’t understand how they got married… Everybody says it’s heartbreaking, but I barely felt any sadness (except for Clayton, the baby) while reading Ugly Love. If Cap died in the plane it would definitely be sad and heart wrenching like most people think. I feel like I’ve wasted my time reading this book. I don’t recommend it.

Well if you are a fan of toxicity in relationships, this book is it.

Tate has no self-respect and as for Miles, he keeps claiming that he loves Tate, but if he does then I don't understand why in the world he keeps using her body to deal with his issues.

This book does nothing more than set an unrealistic and unhealthy tone for relationships.

In short, I hate this book.
