Ugly Love was… okay. The premise had a lot of potential, and the storyline itself was intriguing enough to keep me going but honestly, I struggled to fully root for the romance.

Miles? Yeah, he did a few too many questionable things for my liking. I get that he was damaged and closed-off, but some of the ways he treated Tate crossed a line. If Colleen Hoover wanted to deliver a happy ever after, I think a few of his actions could’ve been toned down because Tate honestly deserved so much better.

Despite it being a short book, the pacing dragged in parts. Not a whole lot actually happens, and I found myself waiting for that big moment that never really came. It’s emotional and angsty, sure, but also frustrating at times.

Not my favourite by CH, but I can see why others love it. Just not quite the story I was hoping for.

Ugggggggly Cry

F'ing Colleen Hoover. Fricking ugly crying all through Ugly Love. I just had to take a xanax. I can't even put into words what my heart just endured.

the second half of the book saved it.

This Colleen Hoover book was my first book purchase and the one that started off my love for all things Romance.

This book had me feeling all emotions and I couldn't put it down! I love swooning and this book definitely made me swoon. You know the feeling when something just makes your breath hiccup and you just need to hug something/ someone because you just feel SO good?

This is a read that will have you feeling that very feeling. It's a
"friends with benefits" love story, leaving you with a belly full of emotion and the need to know more. An unexpected tragedy leaving the protagonist, "unlovable" but THAT MUCH MORE LOVABLE!

Grab your comfiest blanket and box of tissues and dive into
"Ugly Love" by Colleen Hoover.

Rating:

Colleen does it again with a dark and twisted raunchy romaine. Told from two points of view and it different points of time (present and 6 years ago). A good book about over coming past tragedies and allowing your heart to love again. There’s also something to be said about not feeling guilty about things you cannot control.

if you made an ai skim through wattpad and then forced it to write the cheesiest story ever, it would give you this book.

I cannot recall a single personality trait that tate had. I guess it’s because she made her entire personality revolve around miles.

however, I enjoyed reading this book so much—it was a hilarious read. whenever I thought it couldn’t get worse, it did.

Really could not put this book down. Liked how the book was told from different perspectives

This book is absolutely terrible. Tate and Miles have a very toxic relationship that work out for them in the end which I hate.
Miles and Rachel are also very toxic and really how the line on what it means to be incestuous. They shouldn’t have gotten together at all. He is so desperate and annoying for her, it made it so hard to hear his perspective.
Tate’s perspective really paints Miles as a nice guy, who is not creepy. She knew from the beginning he only wanted sex and continued to try and fix him anyways.
This book made me physically cringe and gag over how disturbing it was.

Ok so I get what kind of books CH writes now.. not sure I am all on board for the .... wait for it... hidden tragedy

So good, healed me after reading It Ends With Us.
