This is a strange one for me to put into words. I love the author's writing. It's always easy to follow, flows really well, and you can imagine everything perfectly.

The story itself however, I had some issues with. The romance between our main characters felt very superficial to me. I felt no real emotional connection, only physical. Which was hot, don't get me wrong, but the sudden deep feelings they claimed for each other felt forced and not earned.
Especially considering how much growing the heroine had to do. The MMC also became obsessed with her insanely fast despite not really knowing much about her at all.

Naomi's writing pulled this into a 3 ⭐ read, I do still enjoy it and I flew through this book. I prefer her other books, though, and I'm excited to read more she has prepared for us.

The story was really cute and I liked the relationship between James and Ozzy but it felt like their wasn’t much closure around certain plot points. Also I felt like I was reading Jeremy Allen White fan fiction for large parts of this book.

I skimmed the middle. The snickers thing was wild...
