WHAT. A. BOOK. Now, as an ex-restaurant staff, I can’t say that fucking the BOH cook is a good idea, but Jamie definitely made the right decision. Her and Ozzy were just so SWOONNNN. I loved Jamie so much, her journey of self discovery almost, trauma healing, and just healing in general was just impeccably done. I also resonated so much with Ozzy and his story. Between a shitty upbringing, rough parents, and the weight of the world on his shoulders, the way he deflects with humor and sex was just so real. I really loved how we saw him slowly open up more and more with Jamie. Ugh, I just loved this book so much I binged it essentially in one sitting. 10/10, ate and left no crumbs.
I can forgive a lot of things, but the use of UNCONSCIOUS when she means SUBCONSCIOUS is not one of them

Such a great read. It was hot and spicy and was really engaging.
I appreciated her breaking through what happened to her. I wish we could see them both grow as a couple more.

This book is a fun read, but it delves into some unexpectedly dark and serious topics. Definitely pay attention to the trigger warnings at the start. The characters are likable (Ozzy is a cutie), the plot is interesting, and the spice is spicing. It’s not something that’s going to stick with me long-term, but it was still a solid read.
That said, sometimes I wish books like this would just stick to the light-hearted vibe instead of always diving into heavy stuff. Like not every FMC has to be traumatizedddddd. Also, the casual drug use in this book felt unnecessary. It didn’t advance the plot, felt out of place, and why are we romanticizing coke lol.
