I love Gar! Can't wait for Beast Boy and Raven to meet!

Love this series! The art is absolutely stunning

I am loving these new take on Teen Titans. I am totally here for it and can’t wait for the other books in the series.

I thought I was going to have an issue comprehending the events of this book as I didn't read the first "Raven" installment. I had no such issues.

This book was amazing, from the art to the characters to the plot. A great majority of the plot's setup was our main character, Garfield Logan, dealing with issues surrounding his own body. Not being developed as some of the other boys from his high school, Gar looks for ways in which he can fit into the more athletic and muscular image of the other boys, all while dealing with issues regarding his parents and other circumstances he might not be entirely aware about.

About halfway into the book I did think the treatment of Gar into "Beast Boy" was going to be random and forced, as we do deal with Gar's body issues for a good deal. However, I felt that his personal life and his transformation were ultimately done well, with the backdrop of his boss issues bringing forth a good "slice of life" element to the story. Overall, this was a great story, with foreshadowing of what's to come tickling my interest.

Props to the author and artist for weaving in body image surrounding boys. Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for providing a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

I adore this take on Gar.

*4,5

This was cute but with my deep love of Beast Boy I had just hoped for more.

Loving this series! Garcia is great at writing these characters and Picolo's art is *chef's kiss.*
