Lots of REALLY REALLY good information on the duration of pregnancy. She explained everything really well, and was able to weigh the pros and cons without bias. 5/5 for the informational text!
Provides clear, evidenced based advice on pregnancy in an engaging and easy to understand format. Despite the research backed approach, there was a fair amount of editorializing on the part of the author, which I didn't mind but I enjoyed Oster's writing style and personal insight. Your milage may vary there.
My main critique is that I felt like the book lacked depth. Oster covers the majority of the main concerns a first time mother might have, but I felt like I was still left with questions and wanted to do more research. While this isn't meant to be a fully comprehensive book about pregnancy, the plus side is that it's a quick and reassuring read. I'd definitely suggest it for people who are pregnant for the first time.
