Highly recommend this book for decision making, this book in a way put all the complicated topic to something digestible. Love the obsessive process author has which feel so empowering for pregnant woman making their own decision by being well informed.

A must read for any pregnant person! 👏👏👏

Two stars for the credence I'd give to the advice coming from this book (despite it being a pretty pleasant read).

"Why the conventional pregnancy wisdom is wrong"... is a bold statement that would probably be better stated as "is inconclusive" or "extremely difficult to measure".

Perhaps it would have been more credible if co-written with a doctor; but if it had been co-written with a doctor much of what she said probably wouldn't have made it into the book (a doctor has much more responsibility for claims he may make...).

While I'm sure that many pregnancy books are over cautious, I think it's a better approach. Creating a healthy child has to be more important than inconveniencing yourself for things that truly don't matter (you won't die without coffee, and wine...). Honestly - if it isn't worth some inconvenience to you, you should probably rethink having a child.
