I'm of two minds about this book. Part of me really wishes I had read it earlier on in my pregnancy--or, indeed, before getting pregnant. The information on conception statistics, alcohol and food risks, and over the counter drugs was incredibly useful. However, the book is so short and so brief about nearly every topic, and so adherent to the author's personal experiences and opinions, that at times I wanted to put it down and just do my own research, which sort of defeats the purpose of reading this particular book in the first place.

It was a bit hard sifting through the actual good advice vs. the dangerous advice.

Some things in this book just felt factually inaccurate (like the section about alcohol and sushi), but in general, I think it’s an okay book that gives you a high level overview of pregnancy and empowers you to make risk based decisions for yourself.
