Forget Me Not is more than a romance, the story features dark undertones and has the makings of a psychological thriller. Willow Winters gives readers a hero they want to heal, a heroine to do the job, and a mysterious past that will puzzle till the very end. From the very first page I knew something was just not right and I had so many ideas of which way it would go. Robin, Jay, and John have a childhood that ties them together. Twenty years ago they were locked in an endless cycle of hellish torture, but it only feels like yesterday when they find themselves together once again. All of them are affected by the past, their decisions today are still those of a child stolen from a happy life. They're damaged, but surviving, some more than others. One makes a plan to help them help each other, but it makes them all feel like they're living in the past again.

Maybe this is what I've truly wanted. For him to punish me. For him to forgive me.

I generally enjoyed the premise of Forget Me Not, the characters are fantastic and the psychological aspect was unique. Unfortunately, the details are lacking and I never felt like I truly was a part of the story. I couldn't wrap my heads around the why's and how's, unable to fully grasp how the characters tied together as adults. Even with the twist revealed I never got that a-ha! moment. Though the idea is dark and the relationship between the characters is more taboo than acceptable I never really felt that Forget Me Not was as dark as it could be. Though it is cleverly written, something Willow Winters always does well, it never really met my expectations.

She reminded me so much of Jay. So much of me. So much of what we'd been through.

Forget Me Not is Willow Winter's latest release in a long line of dark, unique novels. It's unexpected and emotional, a story I could never have imagined. Featuring handsome men and a strong heroine, readers will enjoy the journey to the light once they fall into the twisted story of the Little Bird and her Lone Wolf.

Don't leave me. Not here, and not ever.

I read an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This has to be my favourite of Willow's books. Edging more to being a psychological thriller, it was dark and totally twisted, but all throughout the book you just kept up hope for a happy ending for the main characters. You keep guessing at what happened and how Jay, John and Robin all intertwine and it keeps you on the edge of your seat. I couldn't put the book down and even after finishing the book it still stays with me. I'm most likely going to end up rereading this someday soon.

Holy Shit. I scour Amazon and other sites for free books and somehow ended up on this author’s mailing list and today she released this book for free. Reading the blurb I knew this was going to be a dark read but I had absolutely NO idea what I was getting into and I’m not going to ruin it for you.

This is a book that you need to read twice and you will want to because then it becomes clearer. I was really confused reading this from the 3 different POVs and I had a few different theories, one of which was correct. Figuring out the “twist” didn’t ruin the story for me once revealed because it was so much more than I realized.

Reading it back now, OMG, this author is a genius. This book gave me FEELS like it was ungodly hot at times, uncomfortable, happy and at one point I was lying on the couch with silent tears running down my face. A lot of book freebies are good but I’m glad I didn’t have to buy them however this book I would have bought AND I plan to look into everything else she’s written because this book was amazing.

***I’ve seen reviews about people wanting to know more about the past or feeling cheated but I liked not knowing. I learned enough to know it was really bad and it kept the book shrouded in mystery. Rereading the book actually filled in a lot of the blanks I had because most of it is there and the rest of it? I didn’t need it and having all the answers would have ruined it somehow.

I recommend.

Wow. I think that is the first thing that comes to mind with this book. Winters took such a unique and unusual concept and blew my mind. I was floored when things came to head and found myself just jaw dropped. This is the first book I have read by Winters and I know I will be back for more. I was just blown away.
The emotions and pain going through all the characters really grip you in a way that you cannot put it down. I found myself wrapped up in this world that Winters created and my heart broke at so many points. The emotions alone are raw and unpredictable. The past colliding with them and moving past just makes you go “What did I just read?!?!?!”
Overall, I have to say that this book was utter brilliance. I have never once read a book like this and found myself wrapped up into it so much. I loved the storyline and the character build and those twists that left you breathless. This book is not for the faint at heart though but go in with an open mind because you will not regret it. It is a tale of love, pain, forgiveness and so so much more!

Dr. Robin Everly is a psychiatrist who wants to be able to help people that have gone through similar circumstances like she did when she was a child. Kidnapped 20 years ago her only friend was a boy that was imprisoned with her who did his best to protect her from his father.

Jay broke Robin's heart so many years ago and wants to fix her from the pain she still lives with from their time imprisoned together. When he asks his friend John, a mechanic, to help him take Robin again the two are at odds with each other with how to deal with Robin.

With both men falling in love with Robin will she be able to sort out her feelings for the two of them and figure out how they all need to heal?

Wow - this book had some big twists and turns!

Robin has never fully healed from the past or gotten over her love of Jay. She knows that he needs help as he has his own major issues but she also promises she won't leave him and I was like - wow. She was strong yet weak and although she tried to heal others she still suffered from the past.

I knew Jay had a rough past and had no idea what happened to his dad. He really did love Robin but I found it interesting how the love was based on something that happened when they were children and wondered if it was more infatuation that could make it last 20 years.

John was also stuck between wanting to protect Robin from Jay and developing feelings for her himself. He wanted Robin to love him and not Jay.

I did have a feeling about the twist when I was about half way done but it was still executed awesome and made everything fall into place.

I was definitely shocked about the end but happy with how everything turned out!

The plot twist was obvious from the very beginning but I still found myself getting confused. This was mediocre and I don’t even know if I would consider it a dark romance. The sex scenes fell flat and I’m not to sure how I feel about her writing style. This was my first book by this Author. I own a few other of her books so I feel obligated to read them. Maybe it was just this book and the others will be better, we shall see but this one just wasn’t for me.
