it’s a classic for a reason. by itself i’d give four stars but bc it brought us the wizard of oz movie (and wicked) its impact makes it 5. lots of clever and funny moments!

It was okay. I'm not sure I even would have liked it as a child. The movie was better. I just wanted to read it before reading Wicked.

WE just finished listening to the audio book version, read by Anne Hathaway. She is a fantastic narrator. Really worth listening to her wonderful interpretation of this wonderful book. =)
