I loved this book. As with most [a:Iris Johansen|32498|Iris Johansen|http://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1266463281p2/32498.jpg] books, I have a little trouble getting into the book at first. But once I am, I can't put it down! This book was just the same. Stayed up WAY too late finishing it last night. :)

I am a little disappointed though. I really want more of the main characters! I know Megan is in [b:Quicksand|1865283|Quicksand (Eve Duncan, #8)|Iris Johansen|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1312230938s/1865283.jpg|3090838] and Renata is in [b:Blood Game|6348046|Blood Game (Eve Duncan, #9)|Iris Johansen|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1312011689s/6348046.jpg|6534541], but I want more! And I really want to know Harley's and Grady's stories!

This was a great book. I loved the characters and the story line. I especially enjoyed the happy ending.

Insulting. I found this book so boring and completely predictable. This book lacked the substance that I was hoping for. The characters were typecast and drab, the pace was an absolute snails crawl and the dialogue had me rolling my eyes more than reading it. Do yourself a favor and pass on this.

I enjoyed this book and actually finished it! In a few places the dialogue seemed a little unrealistic and some of the action scenes could have had more, but overall I liked it. It ended with what might be a cliffhanger; I'll have to see if there's another book that follows it.

DNF'ed ~ Chapter 7. Coming from reading several other Iris Johansen books before this I was hopeful that this would be amazing as her past works. From the start I was confused, and lost. I couldn't get into it. Then chapter 7 came about. Grady talking about being attracted to a 15 year old Megan while he was 25? weird and that's where I knew this work wasn't going to be for me. I mean after 7 chapters and still being unable to form a connection with the main characters, why continue?

Where to begin? The plot that never really took off? The ridiculous dialogue that made me cringe? The grammar mistakes? Or maybe the instant relationships? UGH! This book was awful…and trust me, I tried hard to like it.

DNF @ page 104. I WILL NOT TOLERATE A STORY THAT ROMANTICIZES SEXUALIZING MINORS. It's especially creepy because it's clear these two characters are ending up together as adults, but a 25yo man attracted to a 15yo girl? Not cool, book, not cool.

This book was not good. It wasn't awful, but it certainly makes me wish I had found something better to read. The plot felt incredibly contrived, and I really found the entire psychic aspect offputting. It also came across as really rushed, so while everything moved along at a brisk pace, you never had a chance to care about anyone involved. I tried to care; I did. The characters were not unlikable, but mostly I just wanted the entire situtation resolved so that I could move on to a better book. The best part was literally the last word in the entire novel. How sad is that?

I do not think either the psychic phenomena or the characters were the problem, though. It was the writing. It was bland and unimaginative and boring. And the romance had exactly zero spark. I admit I was disappointed.
