I'm such a sucker for these books, despite the dumb situations the MC puts herself in.

It was a good book for a rainy autumn day. As it was written for younger readers I didn’t much enjoy it as an older reader.

I loved this book! The plot line was very interesting and I loved the mystery! I really like this series and how you get to see the perspective of the murderer. I couldn't help but feel a little sorry for him. (I'm probably the only one!)
I do wish that there wasn't a love triangle though. :/ With all that was going on, I felt having a love triangle was just overkill. Just the murder mystery would have been perfect!
The action was great and my heart was pounding so fast in some scenes! Whew! Perfectly executed!!
The cliffhanger was great too! It makes me want the sequel but not DIE. :D
The only thing that I felt needed improvement was character development. I felt the characters did not develop as much as I would have liked in the book. Despite all the things that Violet's had gone through, she did not seem to have changed much in the end.

Overall, an amazing addition to the Body Finder series! Fans of the prequels should read this! :)

I liked The Last Echo, but it definitely wasn't the best book in the series. The book follows the same plot as The Body Finder and Desires of the Dead. Violet finds dead people, almost gets killed by the killer, every thing works out in the end. They are all more or less the same. I thought this was the final book in a trilogy, however, it was definitely left so that more books may follow.

I recommend this for those who have read the other two books in the series and for those who like paranormal/thriller/romance.

I hate that this is becoming a love triangle situation. Rafe is fine, but Violet and Jay are supposed to be together. Bringing Rafe in as a love interest just upsets me, rather than making the series more interesting. The storyline involving the collector was interesting enough, the other romance part was unneeded. The Rafe complication brought my rating down to 4 stars, when it would have been 5 without it.

Another good book in the series.

We pick up with Violet as part of the team now and helping to find bodies left by the collector. I won't do a plot summary - if you like the series, you will enjoy this book.

I still love Jay. I won't change my mind...he is so in love with Violet and continues to show how much he cares. Gah - the note he left for her under her pillow...just love him. I know there are probably some Rafe fans out there and don't get me wrong - he is an interesting character and I like him. I feel like only the surface was scratched in finding out more about him and his background but Derting does dive into his story as well as those of the other team members.

The other friends (Chelsea, Jules and Claire) aren't very involved in this book and I have to admit, I didn't mind it. As a matter of fact, a lot of the story revolves around Violet's work with the team and her interactions with that group instead. There is a clear shift of where she would prefer to spend her time.

The new "big bad" should be an interesting twist and I am looking forward to how the ending here plays out into the next book.

I love this series and then I read this book, so now I really don't know how I feel about any of it.

This book was predictable, it took me forever to get through and the most suspenseful part were the last 50 or so pages.

Overall, while I still adore the series and will still read the next installment I was greatly dissappointed with this book.

I would love to thank Ms. Derting though for keeping Violet and Jay one of my favorite YA couples.
