While this dark romance initially drew me in with its captivating spice and intensity, it ultimately disappointed due to unresolved plot, inconsistent characterization, and a lack of narrative cohesion. The book starts off strong, immediately hooking the reader with its steamy scenes in the first 100-200 pages. However, by the middle of this 505-page book, the constant violence feels repetitive and unmotivated, as the author fails to provide sufficient backstory or justification for the characters' thirst for revenge.
The numerous action scenes evoke knock-off versions of Boondock Saints and John Wick, with continuous gunfights that seem to serve no purpose beyond keeping the protagonists in debt. Certain key characters like Milo, who ranks as a favorite, get abruptly sidelined as the love triangle between Lana, Nathan, and Kai takes over. The resolution leaves core conflicts unaddressed, with the characters inexplicably accepting traumatic events like leaked photographs with no consequences, let alone WHERE is Crystal?
While the initial spice and intensity were engaging, the lack of plot and character development ultimately made this a disappointing read that failed to deliver on its early promise.

Alright, Evil Boys — let’s talk.
This was a solid 3 stars for me, mostly carried by the smut (because the plot? The conflict? The rinse-and-repeat energy? Baby, it was giving "copy homework but change a few things" vibes.)
This is pure bully/enemies-to-lovers, and not the fun “we hate each other but we’re secretly horny” kind — no, no. Our FMC fought the MMCs the entire. fucking. book.
sigh, I get the assignment, but GOD, girl. Sit down and accept the crazy love already.
Now, the mystery? It was there. It wasn’t groundbreaking. Definitely not the thing that kept me flipping pages, but it wasn’t offensive either.
Now let’s get to the important part: Our Boys
Kai. My problematic, possessive, obsessive KING. Kai is everything.
His "you're mine, fuck off, I’ll burn the world for you" energy had me feral and questioning all my life choices. He's why I survived this book. Hands down.
Milo?
Freaking adorable. The way he fought tooth and nail for our girl had me kicking my feet and twirling my hair. He brought just enough sweetness to balance Kai’s feral obsession — like an emotional support chaos gremlin.
Nate?
Whew. The slowest burn. The biggest bully of the bunch. I was ready to square up with him for half the book — but when Nate finally cracked?? BABYYYYY.
It clicked. It was like finding the missing puzzle piece you didn’t know you needed but now you refuse to live without. And those scenes with Milo??? HOT. AS. F---ING. HELL.
Teamwork makes the dream (orgasm) work.
