Like 50-100 pages too long. And like Crystal just gone? Lol
This book was a freaking weird wild ride. Seriously. I went in blind, thought I knew what was happening, and then just kept being like, wtf is going on?
Our basic main plot is good girl Lana is going to college where her dad is a Dean and her brother is in a frat. He warns her to stay away from another fraternity and specifically its members. But no one knows her dark secret, that she murders people that deserve it in her spare time to satiate her darkness.
The basic plot is great. It's interesting, but there are a lot of plot holes that confuse me. Who trained her? How does she just know how to fight and kill? Literally zero explanation of how any of that happens.
The book branches off into several other loose plots, some make sense, and others are just like.... how. The main romance plot point is with the three boys from her brothers rival frat. There is history and bad blood there and they seek out revenge by blackmailing Lana. She takes it, and then all discover that they are liking the arrangement, and each other.
Within the guys, milo is my favorite. I love his quirky, funny, unhinged personality. Nathan and Kai are ok, very typical men of dark romances. I do feel at times the why choose is lopsided and we get the most from Kai and the least from Milo. I really hate lopsided why chooses.
One of the biggest plot holes that drove me insane the entire book is the lack of like care for physical evidence at crime scenes. We have no regard for trying to maintain a small presence and not contaminate crime scenes. There are mentions of "cleaners" but it just seems ridiculous. It's just too much.
The spice is excellent in this book. We have blackmailing and revenge so there is def dubious consent, but when we get Lana's perspective she clearly is enjoying everything the boys dish out.
All in all, the book was just a bit much. Plots all over the place, plot holes constantly, and it was just a bit confusing.

Spice, great. Plot started lacking a little towards the middle-end.
This book is absolutely one of the most amazing books. I throughly enjoyed every single word. It hooked me and I just couldn’t stop.

So, it's complicated in how I feel about this book. There were some moments that I genuinely enjoyed but there were times when I kept pushing myself to finish it.

DNF at 62% - mainly because of a certain scene.
Characters are alright - nothing really remarkable. It's a stereotypical dark romance. Kept reading to find out Lana's why, but I guess I'll just have to stay curious

Evil Boys is the second book in the Spine Ridge series and I absolutely devoured this book!
I read Sick Boys in April and loved it. I immediately knew who Nathan and Kai were. But I still had to delve into the underlying rivalry.
Lana is Felix's sister. And he warned her to stay away from the Phantom boys. And of course she didn't listen and now she has to pay a high price.
She makes a deal with the three evil boys: she gives them her body in exchange for keeping her secret.
It's a reverse harem bully collage romance with lots of BDSM.
I was completely hooked. I loved that Kai immediately knew what he wanted. Milo is such a crazy twisted golden retriever and Nathan will do everything for his sister and friends!
The last spicy scenes were mindblowing: I love a bi-awakening! My heart was on fire.
