i guess this is my fault for going into it blind but it was recommended a lot on various sites so i went for it. it was fine, pushing the edge a bit, random vigilantiasm and mafia activity sprinkled between some very hot scenes (4/5 rating on the spicy scenes that occur before the rest of my review), then boom hunting and raping like wow ok. it got so dark so fast and, unlike miss celine, my heart could not go on. but again, my fault for my not checking trigger warnings.

Wild! I utterly enjoyed the ride the author took me on.
It was a good blend of dark elements and banter. The spice was really good.
Now, I'll definitely be catching up on the rest of this series.

Oh boy… The spice is good, I’ll give it that.
If you’re looking for good writing, character development, any amount of realism… do not read this. I had to DNF this book because it was just so awful.
This book reminds me of the bad side of cliche romance Wattpad. You know the ones… where you’re reading them and actively thinking “this is so fucking unrealistic”, “this would absolutely never happen like this”, “nobody fucking says shit like that”. The FMC is somehow this powerhouse that strikes fear into all these dangerous men for literally no reason, killing dozens of them at a time, yet somehow she can’t take on the 3 MMCs? Like, she gets kidnapped and drugged and decides to mouth off at her kidnapper and we’re supposed to believe HE gets scared when she is chained to the wall by her wrists and ankles? Yeah no. The character development is nonexistent and just really bad, like really bad. They repeat things over and over and over and it’s just so damn dry, I was losing it.
Only thing I genuinely enjoyed about this book was the spice, and I loved Milo. This book would’ve been so much better if the author weren’t trying to throw a million plot loops and hope they stick, the first half was actually pretty decent (when the book consisted of more intimate moments between the characters, and more simple drama going on). Towards the end the author just… I don’t even know.
