DNF’d because you know what yeah?
1. It was dragging way too long, this book literally did not need to be this long at all and it was so repetitive like okay i think we get it, poor him he had mommy and daddy issues.
2. Gyrate? really? that’s the word you decided to use? you really used that word and thought to yourself “ahhh yes…this will get the readers going?” Really?
3. the author was just trying too hard. I love me some nice (organised) crime and some College romance, but sometimes we just shouldn’t mix the tropes. Like Fraternity Houses having some decade old beef really? And the killing…She’s an 18 year old serial killer…At the the end of the day…they’re College students. It’s a College (Dark) Romance not a mafia one…if i wanted to read mafia, i would.
4. Why on earth was the author trying so hard to justify the character’s shitty behaviour. Nathan does some fucked up shit…why did you feel the need to justify it? “oh but he has trauma…he has has a baby sister…he was neglected”. Really?!

Well, this one was a wild ride. A little predictable in some spots, and caught me completely off guard in others. I enjoyed Milo's character so much that I knew every time he came on the page, I'd be entertained to no end. Kai and Nathan were the perfect broody "I take what I want when I want it" bad boys. And who doesn't enjoy a murderous FMC?
Didn't realize that even though this is a stand-alone, there was another book in this universe that would have given me a ton of context and maybe a smidge of plot, but oh well! Added to my tbr for the future.

I definitely had a good time, but the onomatopoeias cringe the sh*t out of me :D
