So good. Koontz always keeps me questioning and guessing what the surprise is going to be and more times than not I can't figure it out. He has such a unique way of telling a love story.

The last 50 pages were really the only ones worth reading. With a little rejigging of the setup, this would have been much better as a novella. The first three-quarters of the novel was boring and not what I expect from a Dean Koontz novel.

This book has so many twists and turns. A novellist whose girlfriend dissipates without a trace, a serial killer, a search for the missing girlfriend leads to the novelist falling in love with a person who is the exact replica of Emily. That's where the twists start.

This was definitely a different type of book than I usually read! It is a mixture of science fiction and thriller. The book had me guessing until the end! Has lots of puzzle pieces you have to put together to get the whole picture. Would definitely recommend!

The core story was great, but the book overall was unbalanced. Way too much prose and description and repetitive elements. The last part, where it all comes together would have benefited from a lot more content while the story line with Jessup and Ulrich less.
I've been reading (and loving) quite a few books featuring the concept of the fluidity of time. So, unlike other readers, I was thrilled when this book took that turn. Romance, mystery, suspense, and sci fi in equal measures. Other readers didn't care for this either, apparently, but I loved it.
The beginning was a little slow. The ending was satisfying, but a little rushed. Overall, though, this book was riveting!
