I read this for a class, and I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone without specific interest in social dynamics and networks of science. Watson is ridiculously sexist, and despite his apology note in later editions his easily findable bigoted, sexist, and racist public comments prove that he has not grown as a person since the 50’s. This is personal account, and while I believe it was written authentically, the prose was dry and a slog to read. Watson name drops various scientists on every page, most of whom will never be mentioned again. He deems it necessary to inform readers of the street names various buildings reside on, and other arbitrary details of the like. This was unpleasant to read for all of the above reasons.
