While I did enjoy this read, it didnt have as much magic as the other books (metaphorically, not literally). I dont know, I just found myself not caring about as much until they got to the prison. The beginning love triangle and breakup? Yes, i ate that up. The middle part with the.. Crone? The dragon party? I didnt really care. I was bored. I didnt start caring again until they got to the prison. This was SO long, it could have had so much cut out that wasn't necessary. However, the ending shook me and I did tear up just a little, so props for making me feel emotions. My least fav book in the series so far, thats for sure. I will def be continuing though, I have to know what happens!

I didn’t enjoy it as much as the other books but I did appreciate how Grace has been maturing more. However, I hate that she hides her feelings from herself and automatically goes to breaking bonds to fix things. Also, plot point error, if she were break her bond with Hudson to help Jaxon’s soul, wouldn’t Hudson then also lose his soul? It’s just weird. I liked all the new characters and appreciate Hudson immensely. I’m excited to see what happens.

All I can say is wow. Grace really grew up in this book and finally got her priorities straight. Thank goodness for small miracles, because the journey to get there was anxiety ridden and slightly irritating. Love all the characters and how they are the family. Hudson deserves a medal for being the most patient guy on the planet.
