Didn’t enjoy this one as much as the first two. There wasn’t as much relationship building/tension. I also am starting to find the cherry pop tart references annoying as well as her prioritizing her school work when facing threats of death or a lifetime of torture in prison. Having said that, I am still a big Hudson and Flint fan and look forward to the next book.

Still a better book than Twilight 😂

This book just felt so dragged out and then began rushing towards the end to ensure everything happened.

This is like...the soda pop of books.

Best one of the series so far, that’s all I have to say

I feel like the story just wants too much.
- New fantasy species to get used to
- Triangle love
- Soul mate with trust issues
- Political intrigues
- Loss of a friend
- Guilt-tripping
- Subplots

I find it hard to include and follow up on all of the topics especially since Grace is important for all of them. Of course, it's her perspective but they all feel too dependent on her, too centered, too mary-sued. Her victory and success feels too guaranteed to enjoy the struggle and thrive in the excitement of the story unfolding!

The thing I genuinely liked:
- Hudson

I can't. All the emotion. The plot *chef's kiss*, the angst *chef's kiss* the imagination and artistry that went into this book...you get he point. So good!!
