I really like the story line but this became more of a audiobook listen than switching over the e-book/physical book. I normally if I really like a book I do all three. At the end, I just put this on when I was driving or stuck in traffic. It hooked me enough to get to read the next book in the series, however, the whole thing is slowing down for me. Not sure if it is the narrator or what, again this my personal opinion. Everyone is entitled to their own, but again at the end it drew me into the next book.

Great continuation

Great continuation of the story. Didn't really like the pity party that Grace had, but moved the story along. And the back and forth with the "it's only the bond"thing was annoying, but she's a teenager after all, so I guess that makes sense. Some parts were long and let's just get on with the story already. Overall enjoyable and will continue to read the series. Just hope it doesn't go on forever because I will lose interest fast.

OH MY GOD....as soon as I finished Crush, and was left with the cliffhanger that Hudson and Grace were mates, I NEEDED to read Covet, and I was not disappointed in the slightest. As soon as Hudson was introduced in the first book or so, and then in Crush as a recurring character, I didn't want him and Grace to end up together, but I knew it was inevitable. I hoped that she stayed with Jaxon, but let me tell you, that couldn't be farther from the truth now. Learning that Grace and Jaxon's mating bond was FAKE??? A SCHEME BY THE BLOODLETTER?? EXCUSE ME??? That was the moment I dived into Hudson and Grace, as before I was slowly inching towards it. I will say the tension between Grace and Hudson was agonizing. Their story was beautifully written, I just wanted them to be together already. I got my wish at the end of the book when Grace announced she chose Hudson, for the first time, over Jaxon, when he was dying after receiving the Eternal Bite from Cyrus. UGH I need Court to come out so I can obsess over them more.

More about Covet: I I LOVED the prison storyline! I honestly didn't know how it was going to go, or even if they WERE going to go. But, it couldn't be more perfect. I adore Remy and Calder, and I really loved their character development and backstory. As the group finally had a way out of the prison, Grace and Hudson had to fight these two giants (I think?) and it turned out to be my favorite scene. Grace finally admitted to Hudson she loved him, and I was over the moon. As the fight went on, it was clear they were losing. Grace was on the verge of giving up, as they were stripped mostly of their powers in prison and she was getting the shit kicked out of her. She told Hudson she was giving up, and he won me over all over again, even though he didn't need to. Hudson's declarations were enough to make me fall in love a thousand times. They were victorious, and I couldn't have been happier. Now, it all turned to shit later when they went to free the Unkillable Beast, as Flint almost died, then Jaxon died, and then Jaxon came back to life because of Nuri's dragon heart, which had me in a puddle of tears and about a hundred tissues surrounding me. Then the little shit Cyrus ended up taking everyone remaining at Katmere, and that's how Covet ended, with Hudson's ominous remark about the moment between Grace and Hudson and one of her strings.

Sorry for such a long recap/review, but I am so passionate about this book series. As I first began Crave, it was a struggle to get into it, but I quickly fell in love with every single character (except Delilah and Cyrus, of course) and was hungry for more. This is one of, if not my favorite book series. I can't wait for Court to come out! Everyone read this series ASAP! <3

I finally managed to finish Covet. This is the third book in the series and I have to say it was a struggle. It is more and more difficult for me to enjoy #yabooks . Nevertheless, I actually enjoyed book 1 and book 2 in this series, but this changed things.

Main issues:

These are still ok books for me. This one was the longest thus far. So much packed into it though. I am invested in the characters storylines at this point so I am going to continue with the series. I do really enjoy the male narrators parts now that I have heard more of them.

“Dark and deadly and devastating – that’s basically how I’d sum it up, and not only because I’m a whore for alliteration.”

I would recommend this to those that love young adult or fantasy books, of any age. Covet has action and adventure, no less than would be expected of Grace. But it does touch on some more grown-up topics compared to the previous two books, and Tracy Wolff has written a note for those that may be triggered. ‘Author’s Note: This book depicts issues of panic attacks, death and violence, emotional torture and incarceration, and some sexual content.’– I personally would rate the sexual content as a bell pepper, but then I’m not exactly the intended audience. The world Tracy Wolff has created for Grace is very intriguing and I’m interested in seeing what else will be discovered in the next upcoming books.

OMG!!! This is so good.

I hold on to the notion that this series is going to get better at some point. Each book has been a solid improvement. THE ENDING.
