The first time I read this book I DNF'ed because of the love triangle drama. How does it make sense to try to break Hudson and Grace's bond to save Jaxon? Wouldn't Hudson's soul break too? Literally so stupid. I ended up trying again and the book was ok other than the annoying love triangle... even if it's like 300 pages too long.

Ultimately, I do not recommend reading this book or Court. They're both so long and barely anything important happens. Grace agonizes over every little thing. Like if she had to walk down the stairs, she'd think about all the different ways she can take a step and all the implications on her and Hudson's feelings before actually moving. Then she'd think about how guilty she feels for 15 pages and have a panic attack over it. Like, girl, please stop repeating the same thing 7000x. This especially applies to Court which is 400+ pages too long.
