Sigh. I always feel the rating system for her books should be the number of bitch slaps you want to give the heroine. So I feel that this book is a solid 3 BS effort from Ms Bianchin. She is always a mixed bag for me. She has written one of my very favorite Harlequin books “Avenging Angel “ and I start each new read with the hope that she may close to the good read that 📖 was. Not so here. In her later Books she seemed to write with a Thesaurus nearby using extravagant words and name brand objects. All the women are rich, beautiful, deeply troubled and eat sparingly if at all. There is always a glamazon OW; actress, model, socialite. Everyone is always a member of Aussie high society and fabulously wealthy. Sometimes she works, other times she plays at working. Hero is always “foreign”, high handed, arrogant and overwhelmingly masculine. Sometimes that works and I have read some good HB books but this isn’t one of them.
