It's always a risk starting a series on anything other than book 1 but here we are. So I met Mina on her first day at Bosom Bodies (picked this up because of the closeness of the name to the 80s tv show) and it honestly didn't seem in character for her to pick up the slack for a friendly acquaintance. As the story goes on, we learn (well, me, because all of you were there from the start) that Mina has a capricious nature and she would naturally have stepped in to lend a hand. I loved the pacing on the story - slowly gaining momentum then charging to the conclusion.

SpoilerSuch a sad ending! And so very unexpected! This really made the book for me. I felt that it couldn't be real and at the same time was oh so real.
