MY RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️

She gave you life. Now she wants yours.

Abby’s dream of motherhood comes true when her assistant offers to be her surrogate.

But Monica has a dark secret—one that could cost Abby everything.

This was a quick read/listen. Freida is always a bit of a palette cleanser or workday audiobook listen for me. I found all of the plot twists in this to be very predictable, and I wasn’t surprised or super drawn in by anything. That said - it wasn’t bad - but nothing special.

This is a book that will leave you with pain in your neck and shoulders from cringing. You see what's happening, Abby sees what's happening, and it's so uncomfortable! I will say I finished this book pretty quickly because I was hooked! Really unsure what the epilogue was hinting at so that kind of muddied the ending for me a bit. 
Abby and Sam have been married for 8 years and really want to have a baby. When a coworker offers to be a surrogate after a failed adoption, Abby practically jumps at the offer. Some mistakes can't be erased.
