Saw some errors and some typos but otherwise it’s pretty good loved the fake dating but sometimes it was frustrating

I'm currently at 35% of this book and am getting very frustrated. For IDK how long how Leo has been trying to talk to Win and tell her something but it's being CONSTANTLY interrupted and it's just a drag. Ugh.
__

39%. I'm also not enjoying all the time traveling (flashbacks...the bad kind of time travel)
__

At 65%. This book is so FUCKING BORING. I want to DNF but I'm a sucker for friends to lovers and want to find the lover part. Hard to skip in an audiobook...
__

I managed to find an ebook. Read the "lover" part. It's not even good book sex. Win is still sooo boring, and Leo started off great but then also became boring. Parents with cancer plots suck, too. This book does not have much to offer, IMO. And then, when they finally admit they love one another, it's very very quick. So unsatisfying.

A unique story that had many of my favorite tropes (friends to lovers, fake dating, forced proximity, one bed, celebrity) all wrapped into one book. I loved the diverse representation in the characters. Unfortunately, the last chapter and epilogue left me unsatisfied!

While the premise is unlike anything I’ve read so far, and certain scenes and characters were lovely and endearing, I didn’t really connect with the two main characters. It sums up as a miscommunication trope between two frustrating, entitled characters.

2🌟 the book started off quite promising with interesting character dynamics and good writing but I found that it fell quite flat. my main issue was that I found Win’s character quite infuriating. I love career driven women and she did have great representation of woc in the film industry but she was extremely arrogant and expected everyone to work around her life. She got into the same conflict over and over with her mum, bestfriend and Leo. It got to the point where she expected her best friend to plan her wedding around win’s convenience? She seemed to lack empathy for those around her. Anyways, I enjoyed Leo’s character but we didn’t see much from him because win ignored him for about half of the book. his actions which lead to all the drama were quite silly and random in my opinion. Furthermore he is unable to hold his ground, he is continually berated by Win and he just takes it. The ending was quite unsatisfying and abrupt as the conflict between Win and Leo wasn’t even resolved. Besides the characters I did appreciate the setting and how the film industry was discussed. Sadly I just wasn’t able to enjoy the book much because the characters just frustrated me so much.

I want to write a romance like this when I grow up.
