it’s kind of giving knockoff rwrb .. the houseboat scene/morning after is the inverse of alex flying to london to yell at henry . i would’ve liked this book more if it was gay
An interesting take on Hollywood and the day to day life of a Celebrity. This book had a lot of potential and I really liked Leo’s character but Win was insufferable at times. I don’t like when the miscommunication track goes on for too long. The plot dragged after Leo’s secret was revealed and it got boring. The ending was sweet but I was expecting more.

This book was beautifully written. I loved this romance between Whitman, our grouchy, ambitious alpha heroine, and Leo, a golden retriever of a man who fits her personality so well. However, the story lost me a little bit near the end, and I wouldn't reread it because of the long stretch of time in the middle of the novel where the two main characters were bleakly miserable. It was, not to be funny here, actually exhausting.
Still, I'm definitely picking up this author duo's next book. I'm a fan.

A little long and literary for my tastes. There was some aggressive skimming, and I considered DNFing it. I wanted Win to come to get senses a lot sooner, but that's my values clashing with hers.

I absolutely adored this fake dating / friends to lovers Hollywood romance. This is a perfect read for any lovers of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo or Notting Hill, with a dash of commentary on power, celebrity, representation, and privilege.
