This was an fatiguing read. Their personal dramas, mixed in with the relationship drama, and then the Way drama left little time for depth in the characters.

The story was boring me.

Wow. Legitimately so bad. It takes so much for me to give a book 1 star but I have legitimately nothing good to say about this book. It was incredibly dry and boring, the entire thing could've been shortened into a 100 page novel and still packed the same punch, maybe even more.

If anybody has walked the Camino or might someday walk the Camino, this might be a fun addition to the book stack. The pacing of the story was too slow for my tastes but that might be appropriate for a book about walking for weeks on end. The story was okay but the writing didn't live up to Simsion's The Rosie Project.

So many people raving about this book but I’m really struggling to maintain interest. I’m halfway through it and absolutely nothing has happened.

DNF. Shelving it for now. I might come back to it.

Vermakelijk boek. Vrij voorspelbaar en soms net een soap, maar het bleef toch leuk om te lezen. Ook omdat het gewoon lekker vlot doorliep.

An easy read - manages to tackle some heavy topics while remaining engaging and humorous. I’m always up for a travelogue, and this fictional travelogue was right up my alley!
