It’s my second read of this book, and it was just as good as the first.
This was my first ever Simone St James and it was such an amazing intro into her writing and her world. I don't know that it's her best work, but I absolutely loved it then, and I love it now!

St. James knows how to tell a story and bring out her characters' pain, trauma, love, and kindness. I love every single character!

And Jack Yates – I'd happily be trapped in his haunted house anytime!

Super amazing book! Love it!

Y'all, this was actually so good! I think this is one of my favorites by Miss SSJ so far! The setting of this one is everything I've been wanting in a book, and I'm so glad I finally found one like this. I love Jack so much. "I'd brave all the fires of hell to see you naked." LORDIE LORDIE LORDIE 🤭 I loved Kitty too! I'm really happy with the way this one ended. Overall, I give this one 5/5 stars!

It was a fast story from the beginning, I really enjoyed it! Kind of dragged on in the middle a bit but overall a great story.

This novel took a while to pique my interest but once the ghosts came out to play, I was all in. One thing I really like about Simone St. James is how good she is at creating tense and eerie scenarios. My heart was literally racing and I was unsure if I would be able to sleep. However, the ending was a bit of a let down after all that build up.
