A classic Agatha Christie-esque mystery. But with more gay sex.

I loved every second of this series. I did not see the ending coming for either book. I highly highly highly recommend doing the audiobook if you are like me and read the last chapter of books before the rest of the book (yes, I’m a monster). I have no self-control and will absolutely spoil the ending for myself every time. Plus Joel Leslie narrates. Need I say more?

A decent second book that was, overall, a fun read but not as good as the first from a plot execution standpoint. The main thing I liked about this one was the development of the main romance. Both men do a lot of self reflection in this and actually communicate with each other - which I very much appreciate. The plot premise was interesting - very Grantchester/Agatha Christie but make it queer - but it was not as developed as that of the first book. I felt like the resolution was rushed and there were still several unanswered questions at the end of it all.

Still enjoyed it, though.

I love everything she writes. This was a wonderful old family mystery. I hope we see more mysteries in James and Leo's future.
