I would give zero stars if I could. Up until I started this book, the only book that I had ever DNF’d was The Lord of the Rings (mostly because I couldn’t get through 3 pages describing a tree). That was, until this book. I tried my absolute hardest to get through this book and eventually just gave up. I felt like the main character didn’t even need to be there, as she was just the vessel through which we were seeing all of the other (1-dimensional) characters. At no point was I emotionally invested in her or anyone else.

I understand this is a male author writing from a teen girl's perspective, so I’m willing to give some grace in that aspect, but it was just so poorly done. The plot summary for this book says Gossip Girl x Mad Max….But the first half of the book was basically a poor man’s Gossip Girl only. Extremely disappointed, and even though I’ve heard good things about this author, this is the first and last book that I will be reading by him.

I'm torn with this one. I always enjoy the pace of a Matthew Reilly book and this was no exception. I liked the premise of the story, but the characters didn't really ring true for me

Not Matthew Reilly's best. I can't put my finger on why it didn't work for me. The book is probably aimed at teenagers, but was quite dark at times. Not sure who the intended audience is.

I didn't care for it.

This book gave me the same feels as gossip girl for sure but also a splash of pretty little liars and S.T.A.G.S

This book followed the usual upper east side money means everything feel to it with the added prep school snobs just for the drama
But that’s not all you come to find out as the end of days is announced and it’s toning to be on st partricks day .
But whilst this is announced the main character sky is more concerned with fitting in at her new prep school and her brothers sudden invite to a secret society.
I found this a amazing read I loved the modern vibe and the amazing take on a end of days apocalypse, this book had drama , humour,a dash of romance and lots of action it’s one I’ll definitely find my self re reading
