Um no thanks. I really wasted my time reading the whole series

I am both speechless and could never shut up about this book. I am so sad to see The Windsors series come to an end, but Catharina Maura ended this beloved series with her best work yet. Cat's writing and ability to pull the reader into the story to become fully immersed are flawless in this absolute masterpiece of a book. The Devious Husband is without a doubt one of my top releases of 2024.

Sierra and Xavier are such a fun couple with their rivalry, and their banter is so good. Xavier Kingston is THE standard from now on - everyone take notes of this man. What an absolute marshmallow for Sierra Windsor. Just when I thought Xavier couldn't blow me away with his utter devotion to Sierra, something new was revealed and I fell in love with him even more. Sierra realizing all these things about Xavier and her reactions to them gave me life. Their relationship is just so good. Sierra and Xavier's journey to their HEA made me laugh, swoon and ugly cry and I wish I could do it for the first time all over again.

Thank you SO much to Cat and her team for this ARC!! The Devious Husband releases 8/30 ❤️

The beginning was great but towards the middle the plot was a bit repetitive to the point I started skimming pages. However, the end picked up again.

I have been waiting soooo long for their book, and I’m so bummed it wasn’t my favorite. Sierra in this book just seemed so different from the one we met in her brother’s books. She felt so meek at times with Xavier and it just didn’t seem like the same woman who went to jail breaking into his office. I get they got feelings involved and for Sierra and Xavier that was new, but it just didn’t feel like I thought it would. Now the plot itself was great it was more the vibe of the characters for me. It was full of angst which I enjoyed and I loved Xavier’s family, I’m hoping to get their stories! Also both narrators did not do it for me this time. They just felt stiff for these characters.

I liked this series but this last book really annoyed me. I feel like the conflict in the first 1/3 of this book could have easily been solved. Then when there was good plot the author skipped through it so fast. I was really excited for Sierra’s story but was pretty disappointed with this read.

I thought this was a perfect conclusion to the Windsor series and I can not wait for the Xaviers siblings stories.

Let me just start by saying I KNEW who Valeria was to Xavier before it was revealed, well I had my suspicions I knew that would be one of many plot twists.

Can I just point out that Xavier was obsessed with Sierra to a point that he owned a restaurant that served all of her favorite foods and bought real estate property that spelled out her name. Man, he knew what he wanted especially when he went to grams so he could marry Sierra so she doesn't go out with anyone else. Not only that mans had red wine in his house knowing it was her favorite and had it "just in case" she would come over.

I loved how strong Sierra was and her relationship with her grams. She just knew what she wanted and knew what she deserved. When Xavier messed up Sierra didn't take him back right away. Oh no she made him grovel. She knew her worth. This book had everything I laughed, cried, sobbed, swooned, sobbed some more and just had a good time reading it. Dare I say this was my favorite.

I CANNOT wait for Enzo and Valerias book. I have a feeling when their book comes out their will be angst and I can't wait to learn more about her and how she is dealing with the aftermath of what happened to her. Also, having to see the love of her life with some one else. UGH I KNOW i'm going to sob.
