Once again, I have fallen for a Windsor! Out of all the female MCs in this series, Sierra has become my favorite. Her resilience, stubbornness, her strength and her patience was so endearing. I loved how she never backed down and never gave up on her love for Xavier. Even when things started to get hard between them she still had hope.
ARC REVIEW:
This is the book of the year for me! I’ve been waiting for their story since I read the first book in the series and thank you, [a:Catharina Maura|20341047|Catharina Maura|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1676877947p2/20341047.jpg], for making my dreams come true.
Sierra and Xavier have been rivals for years, they hate each other. Or do they?? The people around them don’t believe that hate is enough a word to describe whatever is going on between them.
Their story was just so good. I can’t find the words to express how much I love them and their story. This book takes us from hate to a love story that everyone dreams about, a happily ever after.
The book is filled with so many sweet moments, but also hardship and heartache. This one is for the hopeless romantics out there, like Sierra and myself. It reminds us of the beauty of love, but also that even the prettiest of roses as its thorns.
I don’t want to give any spoilers, because I think you deserve to go into this book with an open mind and enjoy it without any pre-conceited ideas. Just trust me, it’s worth it.
This book became not only my favourite in the series, but also one of my favourites of all time.
Thank you so much for creating this universe. You made us readers fell in love with the Windsors, and I was scared that after reading this book I was going to be sad for having to say goodbye to them, but it didn’t happen. This book didn’t feel like the end, it felt like a pit stop. I’m looking forward to see what you do with the hints you gave on this book.

It doesn't help matters that he's sinfully handsome and one step ahead in keeping their feud alive and stealing away business deals, acting oh-s0-devilish- a few of his antics to get on her nerves. Both the representatives of their family's real estate business, their feud fuels them and their drive to excel at their work.
But Xavier is putting in motion the biggest con of his life. With all the Windsor brothers settled, he decides he cannot wait any longer. It's time to move in and make Sierra his, compel her to cease the distance and look at the fire that has burned between them since long. Xavier proposes an arranged marriage along with the business deal of merging the real estate wing of the families. An offer Grandma Anne cannot refuse!
Sierra and Xavier end up in a matrimonial tie, forcing Sierra to see Xavier in a different light. She's standoffish about their closeness at first, backed by her unwillingness to open up freely in front of someone else. But his actions speak louder than words for her. She cannot help but see how she's always been on his mind far longer than he's been on hers!
But as the layers start to peel, is Xavier ready for his self-imposed ugliness to be out in the open for Sierra to see? Will she accept him for all parts - good and evil - or is it he who needs to come to terms with his fears? Will the darkness in his life engulf Sierra, or is there a greater loss awaiting to sweep away their bond into an abyss?
Maura, in the last book of the series, takes us on an emotional ride filled with forgiveness, acceptance, love, grief, happiness, bliss and heartache.
