Lord yes! The way I love Kingston. Look, I say this every time…CCJ can write tf out a man to love. I’m sure if I did a tally of book boyfriends the top 5 would probably be written by her lmao!

I love to hear Wesleigh Siobhan and Jakobi Diem do the narration for a book. Especially a good book.
Asha had taken hits from so many people, from so many directions, for so long, it was amazing that she managed to function as well as she did. Although her trust issues were frustrating at times, I could completely understand from where they stemmed.
King was a bit of a surprise. I didn't expect him to be anything other than a player. Not the word i wanted to use, but one i know Amazon will accept. That was proven wrong early on. King was a good person, and it made me sad that Asha couldn't trust in that.
I really liked Cree and Ace. Loved the idea of a female bodyguard. I am looking forward to their story.
There were a few unexpected moments, a few painful moments, and a number of satisfying moments in this tale of 2 broken souls. There was also an interesting ending.

I enjoyed this, but the minute I found it was not a duology or trilogy, I was disappointed. The pacing in the 1st half is nice, slow and easy and back and forth between the main leads where they make up and break up every second without them actually putting a title on their relationship and refusing to say how they feel and I was okay with that because they had alot of issues to get through both mentally and emotionally and they needed to get past those in order to move and be happy but when we hit the 60% mark of the book we went from 10-100 in 5 chapters like I kid you not the book had 5 chapters left and they still hadn't resolved anything from their past much less the present and you want me to believe they live happily ever after, after supposedly resolving all that in 5 chapters. And the chapters are not even that long they are 13 pages max and with said of we had gotten a 2nd book or 3rd book we would have seen the characters grow as individuals and as a couple and build together and be able to move on not that bullshit that happened 😀
It's actually sad 😔 I was gonna give then a 5 star rating, but that ending didn't bring it all together 😢
It's still a good book and would recommend 👌
