Phenominal book. If you have read the other books of the series, you must read this one. It brings back all of the characters from previous books, and adds a couple new ones. It stays exciting right up through the epilogue. The language is, as ever, awesome; and the world remains the most detailed and complete of any fantasy book that I have read. The multiple religions also continue to play a larger and larger role in the book. Overall, I highly recomend it.

P.S. if you are just starting the series, you absolutely must start with the first book (A GAME OF THRONES) or you will be hopelessly lost and it will ruin the series. And the first book is equally amazing as any of the other books.

Reading this one was work. There were bits I liked, but it just dragged on so much that I found myself skim reading sections.

I wish the storyline would have progressed more in the last two books... now it will just be a long wait for the next book, which I hope is more like the first three than the last two.
