I'd like to formally apologize to the bear for thinking it was going to be a more important part of the story and not just misunderstood like the lack of communication that was found within. I was hoping for some more comedic elements to bring this rounded out, but unfortunately, it fell flat for me.

I received an ecopy of this through netgalley; however, all opinions are my own.

Very cute and a fun, if far fetched plot.

This romcom was not for me. The MMCs sister was really annoying (and the narrator did not help). The characters were immature, the misunderstanding/deception was just plain stupid, and the bear plays such a small part in the story that I don't understand at all why it seems to be so important in the title and on the cover. The story was drawn out. I was sure I was approching the end, then looked and saw I was at 31% and figured the Libby app must be wrong... And it did not get better after. The mental health rep felt off. I only kept on listening because I was working while listening and was low-key wishing it would get better. I also couldn't wait to see how the MMC would defend himself in the third-act break-up.
