This was a nice little short story, good character development, interesting, etc.
Probably in retrospect shouldn't be read before [b:Leviathan Wakes|8855321|Leviathan Wakes (Expanse, #1)|James S.A. Corey|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1411013134s/8855321.jpg|13730452]. I feel like I may know more than I'm supposed to. We'll see.

I enjoyed this, was interesting insight into Fred's past and character. Wasn't anything mind blowing though.

Fred Johnson is an interesting character and I was excited about reading his backstory. This was a good book, and I liked it, but I felt that the other Expanse books had built up the Fred Johnson story and that made this book slightly disappointing.
