Liked this for a romance book! Thought it was very similar to gossip girl in the fact it is young adults in high society with internal conflicts amongst main characters. However I am not in love with the main characters love story and it is VERY toxic. I will continue on in this series for sure but do wish the characters were more lovable.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Obsessed. There's nothing I would change because it was perfection (must read + reread)

This really is a masterpiece, I get the hype. I wouldn't really call this toxic gossip girl vibes, it feels more like watching a reality show like Made in Chelsea. I also feel like you either get it or you don't and it is not for everyone.

This is a book about vibes and not much else, it is a character drive story with no plot. You get angry at them, you cry with them and feel all the feels. The ending was absolute gut punch. This is a story about love but not a romance.

Guys, I love Tom England and I do hope he gets his own book.

Tropes: found family, love triangle, star crossed lovers, family drama
Triggers: cheating, toxic relationship, alcohol and drug abuse, overdose

i'm all for complicated characters and messy relationships but sadly this just felt toxic. i was waiting for the depth and the intricacies but then suddenly i was on the last page. love the setting, though. the world it built and the characters it introduced. maybe this is just rough, bumpy start. still, i think i'm going to finish the series as i'm easily attached (in general).
