I really enjoyed this series. I think this book lost points for me because although I really liked it, it did feel reminiscent of other similar books..at times I wondered if I had already read this one. Overall, the story was good and I loved the character dynamics.

Not as "good" as the others...or maybe I got tired of the cheesiness.

Well, I cried. More than once. I know Katie McGarry said there weren't going to be anymore, but I feel like Addison needs a book, too! I'm not ready for the series to be over!

I received a digital sampler of Long Way Home through Net Galley Harlequin Teen for an honest review

The story is about bad boy Chevy who is torn between his motor cycle club and his love for football. And then there's Violet. The girl who he loves, but doesn't have anymore. Violet just wants to leave town and never look back at it and The Terror. She has an autistic-like little brother, who she loves dearly and tries to help in any way she can. She promised Brandon that he will never get hurt again. But can she hold that promise when a rival Motor Cycle Club is on the move and looking for trouble?

I really liked this sampler of Long Way Home by Katie McGarry. The storyline was great, interesting and surprising. The writing style is pleasant to read and doesn’t let you put this book down. I’m curious to see what happens next in this book!
Look for LONG WAY HOME, on sale January 31st from Harlequin TEEN and Katie McGarry. Preorder your copy today and you will also receive three bonus scenes featuring fan-favourite Katie McGarry characters.

“I fell into way too many things with Chevy. The suck part about falling is that eventual crash landing.”

This was probably my favorite of the series! Super cute with the right amount of angst.

This series is so well done. I love the way these kids have bonded and are so supportive of one another. After being pushed away by Vi for months, when she needs them, there is no hesitation. They show up and stand fast.
Vi is so spunky and full of life she has struggled since she lost her dad and pushed everyone away, even the boy she's loved for years.
Chevy is an observer. He knows little about his dad and his mother hates the motorcycle club that his grandfather and uncle are in.
Of course there is trouble with the Riot and drama with who to trust. However, what I love about these books is that the teenagers make tough choices that they struggle with. They often stand up to the adult to demand they have a say. They are usually not disrespectful and have a right to know the truth of the situation. The adults are not perfect in these books and their mistakes are shown as well.
This wasn't my favorite in the series but it was a good read.

Despite the outrageousness of this series I always find myself really liking them. This was a tough start for me, I wasn't immediately interested in either of the main characters and the craziness of there motorcycle gang started ASAP. But in time I really came to like both Violet and Chevy and be really invested in their story. McGarry also raised some interesting issues about men vs women in society. The tie back to the Pushing the Limits series was also great.

Violet has never liked playing damsel in distress, never liked to just sit back and let the men handle things. When a rival club comes after her, its no different. She decides it times for the war between these two club has to end and she's doing it on her own terms.
I loved this book that I finished it in one day because I couldn't stop reading it! Violet is such a strong female lead that isn't seen in a lot of books. I love this series because each book it based off two characters that are all connected to the Terror and you get to see every character in each book even if it isn't their book. Violet and Chevy have been in all the book before so its nice to really get to understand who they are since they played big roles in the other two books, I wish Emily would have made an appearance in this novel though. Definitely recommend this series to everyone.
