I loved this book just as much as the previous one! It’s another great take on MM romance (with a great dash of adventure) in fantasy Mesoamerica! Very different (and I want to say, slightly lighter?) from In Life, In Death but just as amazing. I don’t know how she does it but Adara really has a way with words. Tekokwa journey is rife with touching, very emotional scenes as he discovers more about himself and his companion.

My only issue with the book is that I wanted more of it! Adara has painted a great portrait of this fantasy world and I want to know what’s going to happen next! I can only hope that she’ll write more in the series!

If you enjoy MM, fantasy and romance go ahead and get this because it’s very, very good.
