ROBERT CORMIER REQUIREMENT.

Basically this was my reaction after finishing this book:
description

This book was trippy, that's for sure.

It's about a boy named Adam, riding his bike miles to another city to find his dad in a hospital. We aren't actually told much else besides that. In contrasting chapters, we see him on his bike and we see what can be assumed is a future time when he's being interviewed by a psychologist. We kind of have to figure out the holes and how these two stories came to be connected.

This book kind of blew my mind in the best way possible. What I *thought* had happened...definitely had not happened. But I can't spoil anything for you so I'm not going to go into much detail about that.

It was well-written and intriguing and kind of dark, but still engaging. Your mind will be twisted for sure. Read it if you want to be tripped out.

I love it when I'm addicted to a book - could not stop reading this one and it had my mind going at lightning speed trying to figure everything out. For teens and up because I think the flashbacks would confuse anyone younger. Really enjoyed this book.

First read this book in middle school and it made me realize books could be fun/ engaging. Read it again as an adult and it was even better.
