Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn Tandem

100% read EOS and TOD together in the tandem read! It is supremely optimal! These books flow together perfectly. I can’t imagine ever reading them consecutively. Especially because TOD can be dull compared to all that happens in EOS. Not to say TOD isn’t a worthy read because it definitely is, but if I read it on its own, I know it wouldn’t be rated as highly.

So many relationships were forged in these two books, so many battles, so much plotting and scheming. Both books together are the most pleasurable reading experience.

We are at the pinnacle of Throne of Glass. So much happened in these books, in the entire series up to this point—bring on Kingdom of Ash!

I did a tandem read with Tower Of Dawn. I think because of that I found this book to be slower. It definitely picked up pace during the latter half and it held the mote interesting viewpoints.

it's interesting to see that Aelin NEVER learns - as a reader, it was extremely frustrating to
see her refuse to share her plans
but at the same time
her not telling because she was unaware of if they would come through and thus didnt want to disappoint
was relatable. At the end of the day, shes just a kid whos been thrust into a position of power when this was a world she wasnt a part of growing up... Suddenly in the space of a year(?) shes a fireheart, shes the treasured heir, shes got a hottie fae prince?? her entire life was in upheavel.
