How can something be so dark yet so wholesome at the same time?

The Girl from the Other Side is about a young human girl called Shiva and a black humanoid creature with horns called Teacher. This world is divided into the Inside and the Outside. The uncursed stay in the inside where they’re built walls around them to keep the cursed on the outside.

Shiva lives with Teacher in a small cottage in the woods on the outside while she waits for her auntie to come and get her. This had a lot of dark fairytale vibe to it with a haunting yet beautiful art style.

I highly recommend this manga, I read it in one sitting and I can’t wait till I get to the next volume.
