3.5 stars of creepy weirdness!
This is a story of cursed outsiders and a little abandoned child. The girl, Shiva is waiting for her family to come back and get her but while she waits she wants to have adventures and tea parties. She has a lone companion Teacher the outsider, who refuses to see her cursed and takes care of her the best that can be done without any contact as to touch would be to curse. There is a creepy atmosphere about the story and the art that I would love to see established further. There are a lot of unanswered questions but I was definitely intrigued by this volume and will continue on.

The story balances innocence and darkness well. I am intrigued to see what else lies within the story, the first book intrigued me because the balance between clearly experience being and a very little naïve girl I’m sure secrets await me in this world that I will be overjoyed to discover.
