Small town friends to lovers with a thriller twist (trigger warning for multiple abusive relationships). Poor Maddie had way to deal with way too much violence in her lifetime. Nash is just adorable and his donut addiction is ridiculous.

As with the first book in the series, the suspense was non-stop from about 50% to the end. I have lost way too much sleep reading the first two books in this series, but I regret nothing. As much as I loved Holt & Wren in the first book, I might love Maddie & Nash even more. Can’t wait to move on to Grae’s story next and find out what really happened between her and Caden all those years ago.

It's not one of the people you expect... it's ALL OF THEM! A bit too much going on at the end.
