Read gone girl, this one was unlike gone girl but a good read. I found it to be a page turner. I found most of the characters to be really disturbing.
im torn between a 3 or 4 star rating. i think i’m gonna have to sit w it before i decide. lots to think about.
i thought it was the mom from the beginning. i thought it was amma for a little bit... but was so shocked by the ending. i thought that she was going to heal and get better and be good. yikes. i was wrong. i did predict that the mom had killed marian from the beginning.
it was uncomfortable and disgusting to read at parts, but interesting and kept me on the edge of my seat. i feel like i won’t ever stop thinking about it.
BUT the end i felt was rushed, and SOME points were predictable, even though i’m not super mad abt that bc i thought it was done well.
i’ll read other works by gillian flynn for sure.

This book was just okay. Good enough to keep reading and see how it all wrapped up. But Flynn seemed to be trying way too hard to write a creepy story, so pretty much every single character was crazy. Was that supposed to throw me off the trail of the real killer? It didn't. I called it not far into the book.
I wanted to like this book more, but I just didn't. It was just okay.

Sheeeeesh that was disturbing. Kind of saw the ending coming but was not vindicated when it turned out to be true. Flynn certainly knows how to make your skin crawl!
