Have seen the miniseries twice all the way through and decided to read the novel.
Gillian Flynn has a ridiculous level of talent at inhabiting the voice of whoever the character is; Camille’s self-loathing, anger, and despair bleeds into every aspect of the story.
I almost wish it was longer, but again, the brevity is fitting of Camille.
Pure brilliance.

4.5 No complaints-I liked this book! The reveal of the killer wasn’t completely shocking but I still think the buildup was good! I would have liked to learn a bit more about Adora and Amma. I was also intrigued by Camille’s past with her self inflicted wounds, I thought that was an interesting aspect to understanding the main character. Flynn’s writing style is great and built the scene of Windgap well.

I wanted to love this book so bad, but it just wasn’t for me! For a thriller, I didn’t find it very thrilling. There are some disturbing scenes throughout, but everything in between just dragged for me. I did enjoy the last 2-3 chapters the most as the final pieces came together.
