Ok I didn’t read the blurb properly and I really thought this was going to be a magical school, so I was disappointed from the beginning at the lack of dragons.
However I really did try— I love the narrators of the audiobook, despite mispronouncing Cambridge (didn’t occur to me this could be mispronounced before) but the writing was so tough that I skimmed through the book, not realising it would drag through another two books.
Was this wattpad? It felt like wattpad. And also like someone who is not from England, and maybe isn’t a native English speaker— at one point the guy increases his pace by stepping wider, which is not something I’ve ever heard, and there was even a comment on how aristocrats are actually nicer than commoners.
Why did I do this to my eyes and ears? God I wish they had killed each other with dragons
